Grave Seasons Journal Turns Clues Into Investigation Quests
A developer interview explains how discovered clues enter the journal and become trackable investigation quests without solving the mystery automatically.
What the new information establishes
The journal is designed to reduce note-taking friction. When the player examines a crime scene or discovers suspicious evidence, the clue is stored and can create a task pointing toward a person, business, or location. The system remembers what was found, but it still expects the player to understand Ashenridge.
What this means for players and our guides
A clue such as a bar-related object may tell the player to find someone connected to the bar. If the building is closed, knowing that resident's regular haunts becomes the real solution. Our walkthroughs will therefore pair every clue with its source, journal wording, related residents, alternative destinations, opening constraints, and spoiler level.
Source and verification boundary
This update is based on the developer interview. We distinguish a confirmed feature or count from details that have not been published. Exact values, routes, schedules, rewards, culprits, and platform behavior are added only after an official update or repeatable retail-build verification.
